Library unveils new audio-visual recording studio
The Teton County Library has a new recording studio available for patrons to use.
JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Library has announced the completion of a new recording studio available for patrons to use.
The facility will provide tools for creating both audio and visual content, intended for use in podcasts, digital videos, websites and more.
The Wonder Institute Recording Studio — so named for its funding partner — is an acoustically treated space equipped with microphones, cameras on tripods and a green screen. An editing station including post-production hardware and software will be installed in the nearby computer lab.
“We were excited when the Wonder Institute approached us about housing their recording studio here at the Library,” Teton County Library Director Kip Roberson said in a statement. “Their expertise streamlined the creation of this space so the community will be able to access it right away, and sets the stage for the makerspace we’re planning to begin soon, also with the expertise and backing of the Wonder Institute.”
Interested library patrons are encouraged to attend one of two studio orientation meetings, taking place on Saturday, June 24, at 10 a.m. and Thursday, June 29, at 6 p.m. Reserve a spot by emailing [email protected].
