STRONGER News - September 2025 - 7 Hopeful News Items for the Freedom to Read

It’s September 2025, and with Banned Books Week (Oct 5-11) on the horizon, we’re changing up this newsletter to share seven things that are happening right now in the fight for the freedom to read.

STRONGER News - August 2025 - Florida good news and Red Wine and Blue shout out!

It’s August 2025, and we’ve got some updates on book banning news (hurray for the Florida ruling affirming the first amendment does apply to books in schools), put some banned books in the spotlight, share our progress in pushing-back against book banning (we’re teaming up with 18 Red Wine and Blue TroubleNation groups across the country and one student group in Texas), and remind you of some great ways to get involved.

STRONGER News - July 2025 - SCOTUS (boo) and 1,000 more books (yay)

It’s July 2025, and we’ve got some updates on book banning news (boo SCOTUS’s decision on parents opting their kids out of LGBTQ+ inclusive books), put some banned books in the spotlight, share our traction in pushing-back against book banning (Yay for our second 1,000 book orders being placed this summer), and suggest more ways for you to help.
